Overview

Embassy of Bricks and Logs is a premium, holistically ethical, streetwear-inspired outerwear brand. (Although they’re very humble about it and strive to be ever-better in everything they do). EoBaL is one of those brands that I grapple with what to highlight because it’s just ALL so good. In a nutshell, they don’t cut any corners when it comes to animals, the earth, and the workers. They’re just good, stylish, and cozy, through and through.

Materials: E100 No Down (their very own down alternative, made of 100% recycled PET from plastic waste collected from the world’s oceans!), recycled polyester, organic cotton, faux fur (which they call “future fur”)

Eco-Love & Ethics

- - Super sustainable materials (they create their own type of vegan down!)
  - Their products are made in China, and they’re committed to ensuring fair working conditions, growing with their small factory partners, and getting those factory partners certified for their fair working conditions. They only work with partners who can guarantee good working conditions for their employees, and they visit their partners regularly
  - Recyclable shipping boxes, shipped carbon neutral. They also work with a reforestation initiative, meaning they plant more trees than were used in the making of their packaging. Lots of details here!
  - Their goal is to put out final a collection made from 100% sustainable materials a reality by 2023. (Currently they’re at 93-95%)
  - They’ve replaced the typical silica gel “freshness” packs that garments ship with, with a plant-based, non-environmentally-damaging alternative
