Stepping out of a warm shower and applying a luscious body lotion has to be one of THE loveliest self-care rituals. (I use that expression too much but obviously couldn’t pass up this creme de la creme opportunity for it.) This body butter has a unique citrus scent that CORPUS describes as, “Undeniably citrus but mysteriously complex.” To be sure that this vegan body lotion truly qualified as clean I took to EWG’s Skin Deep® database (great resource, by the way) and sure enough, every ingredient that I looked up was rated a 1 or a 2 – the highest marks.

iota (V) || Superplant Body Serum+ || $39

An award-winning moisturizer made with out-of-this-world ingredients to fill nutrient gaps and boost long-lasting hydration

This body serum from iota is an “all-in-one” moisturizer, meaning that with a single product you’re getting a toner, essence, gel mask, and hydrator. Minimalist skincare with maximal results is where it’s AT in 2023, ladies. The serum is made with 15 – yes, 15! – superplants (like spirulina and hibiscus flower), vitamins, and face-grade actives like peptides for collagen support.

iota’s body serum has a whopping 4.9/5 rating on Credo Beauty, and reviewers love that it goes on smoothly, absorbs quickly, and leaves you softly glowing. iota as a brand is also divine – plastic negative, climate neutral, and part of 1% for the Planet.

KORA, as you might know, is Miranda Kerr’s brand. And if it’s good enough for her sun-kissed Aussie supermodel skin, I reckon it’ll do very nicely for us too. This body oil is made with star ingredients like noni fruit (a tropical superfruit full of antioxidants, vitamins & minerals to promote radiance), rosehip oil, and sunflower seed oils.

The product promises to deliver lasting hydration, soften skin texture, and improve the look of skin tone. Those who’ve tried it love that for an oil, it doesn’t feel oily or greasy, and that it leaves skin feeling lush and soft. For best results, use it after lotion.

Nopalera is a beautiful, up-and-coming, Chicana-owned brand you don’t want to miss. They were, “Created to awaken the world to the elevated beauty in Mexican culture,” and it’s really fun to find such an authentic brand. All of their products are made with prickly pear cactus – a deeply moisturizing plant native to Mexico.

These particular moisturizing bars offer a lovely solution to plastic bottles, and are as portable as they are pretty. Perfect for gifting, traveling, or for adding a boost of moisture to your skin anytime, anywhere.

Summer Fridays is the brand I wish I’d created: effective products, clean ingredients, reasonable prices, world-class smells, and all done up in branding you’ll want to display in your bathroom vanity.
