12 Perfect Gifts for Your Favorite Earth and Animal Lover

Gift guides put a real pep in my step. I love reading them for inspiration and holiday anticipation, and I love compiling them to showcase the sustainable, ethically-made, vegan treasures I’ve discovered over the course of the year.
This gift guide is organized into li’l things (suitable for stockings, gift bags, and other settings that call for small sizes), and bigger gifts. Each item is uniquely special and thoughtfully chosen.
And in the holiday spirit, this guide focuses on brands and products that are making the world better on every level: you’ll find gems from several B-Corps, and lots from brands that donate to charity.
Note: if you’re in need of some beautiful, sustainable wrapping papers to swaddle your gifts, Wrappily has beautiful options. And their wrapping paper is double-sided, so you get a bit more bang for your buck.
Fully vegan brands are marked with a (V).
Li’l Things
Little Plates
Fable || $38 (for 4 plates)
Fable is a premium dinnerware, certified B-Corp brand that I almost guarantee you’ll be excited to have found if you’re not already familiar with it. Of their many lovely plate options, these teeny darlings are the smallest. As one reviewer put it perfectly, “At first I questioned what I would use them for? Ummm, everything! Perfect for the bathroom (earrings, matches, q tips, etc), ideal for the kitchen (individual table dipping sauces – think oil & vinegar for bread, soy & wasabi for sushi, appetizers, amuse bouche – too many to list).”
Partake Cookies
Partake (V) || $17 (for 3 boxes)
A perfect holiday treat: scrumptious, better-for-you cookies from a brand well worth supporting. Partake is BIPOC and woman-founded and a certified B-Corp. I first discovered their Birthday Cake cookies at the grocery store, and was blown away by their incredible flavor and ingredients list. They’ve got 10 varieties (including Cookie Butter, Holiday Sprinkle, Lemon, and Double Chocolate Brownie) so you can find the perfect flavor for your favorite sweets lover.
Earth Paradise Luxury Soap Bar
GUNAS (V) || $15
These soaps from GUNAS are as beautiful inside as out. Their ingredient list leaves nothing to be desired: olive oil (90%), coconut oil (2%), water, ultramarine blue clay, sea salt, spirulina, bitter orange oil, rosemary extract. They’re handmade in Greece and are sure to leave your hands clean and moisturized and your bathroom fancified.
Scrunchie Bundles
Lights of All (V) || $19
Scrunchies, in my humble opinion, never go out of style and are supremely useful. I’ve been loving a half up-do lately, and a scrunchie is the perfect thing to keep everything together and add a nice little pop to it all. These particular ones are handmade, earthy, eco-friendly, and made by a wonderful brand called Lights of All – among many feel-good things, they donate 5% of profits to Cedar Row Sanctuary to make the world a better place for animals.
Red Algae + Avocado Biodegradable Eye Masks
Three Ships (V) || $29
I’m so excited that these exist. The only downside to eye masks in my mind is the wasted plastic, which these biodegradable ones from Three Ships solve for. The star ingredient – red algae extract – is a strong antioxidant with hydrating properties. Ooh la la! The masks promise to brighten, hydrate, and depuff to leave your eyes looking refreshed and energized. They’ve got a 4.8/5 rating, and reviewers are wowed by the results.
Socks That Do Good
Conscious Step || $15 to $45
Socks are one of those always-needed items that belong in just about every gift guide, I think. And these special socks from Conscious Step benefit more than just the recipient – each sock design (or sock box) supports a specific charity. So you can personalize the present to align with whichever cause your loved one is most passionate about, including conserving rainforests, planting trees, protecting endangered species, restoring oceans, and savings cats and dogs. *Contented sigh.*
Bigger Things
Petit Vour Plus Beauty Box
Petit Vour (V) || $25 / month
This Beauty Box subscription is my go-to present for my mum and my aunt. It is the perfect gift for anyone who wants to try new beauty products that are non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free. And the Plus Beauty Box is actually one step up from Petit Vour’s regular beauty box, meaning that it features the fan favorites from previous boxes. And the subscription model makes it the gift that keeps on giving.
Knickey Gift Card
Knickey (V) || $20 to $283
Knickey is one of those brands that makes you heave a huge sigh of relief when you find it. Non-toxic, lady-parts-friendly, highly rated, organic cotton underwear? Yes, pls. Assuming that you’re close enough with someone to give them the gift of A+ undergarments, you can’t go wrong with this one. I recommend a gift card, since even for the closest of kin it might be a bit awkward to pick out sizing and colors, etc. Knickey is currently selling their limited holiday colors which are lovely, and just launched socks!
Cher Tote
Angela Roi (V) || $280
I think about this bag quite a lot. And though I haven’t splurged and bought it yet, it will be my next handbag purchase when I’m feeling a little fancy and fiscally frisky. It really is a find: from that rich, pebbled, luxury vegan leather to the spaciousness that makes it workable as a day bag or work bag. Reviewers love it, and many comment on appreciating the size (including that it nicely fits a 13″ laptop). It comes in 8 beautiful colors – some neutral and some bold.
Apple Leather Belt
BHAVA (V) || $89
Sustainable vegan belts are not the easiest thing to come by in this world. Especially ones as sharp as this. I for one have been rocking an ill-fitting, I want to say jute (?) belt that I got at Goodwill approximately 12 years ago that literally doesn’t go with anything, and it’s getting old. Enter BHAVA’s brand new belt release. These stunning belts are made from apple leather, so they can serve the dual purpose of pants keeper-upper and conversation starter.
Caroline Puffer Coat
Save the Duck (V) || $278
Don’t let the model’s expression dissuade you; anyone opening this puffer coat as a present will be all smiles. There are few greater presents to receive in the midst of a long, cold winter than the gift of stylish coziness. And Save the Duck is a stand-out brand; they’re a certified B-Corp and donate 1% of their income to charities that protect animals, people, and the planet. So your gift recipient can feel warm inside and out.
Rocks Stacking Rings
Christina Oswin Jewellery (V) || £70 (about $93) each
Silver and gold, silver and gold. Look at these beauties! And the stackability factor means you have the chance of getting 3 separate presents’ worth out of them if your recipient takes a liking to the first. Foresight, folks. The gold and rose gold are made from Fairtrade gold from Peru, and the silver ring is made from recycled silver.
