If you’re in search of vegan shoe brands that fully deliver, you’ve come to the right place. Because although there are plenty of vegan shoes out there, it’s not always easy to find the ones that will last for years and hold up to all the strutting, dancing, hiking, running, jumping, stomping, and any other activities that you may need them to show up for.
Not your average vegan shoe brands
Have you ever shopped at Lulu’s? They’ve got a broad selection of vegan options, and I still get a pair from them on occasion. But I’ve noticed that some of their vegan shoes are almost disposable; they don’t tend to last beyond a wear or two before a strap breaks, a toe irreparably scuffs or rips, or they otherwise disintegrate. And beyond being an eco disaster, it’s also just frustrating to pay for things that fall apart!
My goal is not to diss Lulu’s, but to note that the vegan shoe brands in this post will be different. They’ve been vetted not only for style and good looks, but also for quality, durability, and longevity. In many cases they’re made by artisans trained in making leather goods – pair that incredible skill with high-quality vegan leather and you’ve got yourself some beautiful shoes that will last. So with that, let’s get to it.

They’re working towards a world where animal leather is no more, and I love ’em for it. BHAVA (V)
PHOTOS: BHAVA
BHAVA is among my personal faves of all the vegan shoe brands out there. There’s just something special about their look and feel and, importantly, they’re super comfortable according to reviewers. BHAVA is a woman-owned brand that’s strongly vegan at its core, but the shoes just exist in their own universe and almost feel like they just happen to be vegan. I like to imagine receiving a compliment on them and getting to say, “why thank you, they’re vegan” with just a hint of neener neener.

Dooeys is fun and unique in that their ‘shoes’ were created for a specific setting: the home. Meaning, they’re neither really shoes nor slippers, but some stylish mix of the two that Dooeys calls “slipshoes.” Fun! If you’re looking for metallic vegan kicks, look no further. NO SAINTS is a mission-driven brand, focused on crafting high quality shoes that do no harm. And what’s behind the brand name? PĪFERI (V)
PHOTOS: PĪFERI
Among others, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Megan Fox, Lizzo, and Cate Blanchett have worn Pīferi shoes on the red carpet. So you may wonder, as I did, what the heck is Pīferi and how are they so good at everything? I did a little digging to answer that question. The brand was founded by Alfredo Pīferi and after a li’l poking around his LinkedIn I found that he’s worked at Valentino, Versace, Burberry, and Jimmy Choo (where he was the head of design for 2.5 years) before founding Pīferi. Which leads me to believe that his ins in the high fashion world have helped with Pīferi’s success. So delightful all around. Pīferi was, “Born from a mission to change the perception of leather-free footwear,” and they seem to be doing exactly that. Look at this beautiful quote from the brand:
“Our goal isn’t just to create luxury footwear; we also want to inform our customers about what we believe is the ultimate luxury: the luxury to choose to invest in items that match not only your style, but also your values.”

VEERAH is a mission-driven, female-led brand that offers gorgeous heels with accessories that let you customize them. Their shoes are designed for comfort and their reviews attest to their success in that. The company is very pro-woman and highlights the strength, individuality, and fearlessness of women, crafting their designs accordingly and naming each design after an amazing warrior woman. It’s thrilling, honestly! The company also gives back through donations, paid volunteer hours for employees, and a scholarship for She’s the First with every 100 customer feedback surveys.

Will’s Vegan Store launched in 2013 and has become one of the best vegan shoe brands out there, in my humble opinion. They’ve got so many great options, with many types that have historically been hard to find in vegan form (like dock boots, work boots, birkenstocks, riding boots, hiking boots, and chelsea boots). And as far as high quality vegan shoes go – they are among the most affordable!
